Swiss Air Force at Bray Air Show

A major highlight was undoubtedly the visit of the Swiss Air Force display team Patrouille Suisse to the “Bray Air Show”. It was the first time in it’s 51-year history that the Patrouille Suisse has come to Ireland. The planning for this unique event began well over a year ago and involved among others, the Defense Attache in London and the heads of the Irish and Swiss Air Forces.

On Sunday  the “Bray Air Show” took place in front of over 90,000 enthusiastic spectators. The display of the Patrouille Suisse opened with the brilliant manoeuvre “holding hands” with the red and white jets of the Patrouille Suisse escorting in formation an Aer Lingus Airbus A-319 aircraft. Following this surprise, the programme of the Patrouille Suisse took place against the unique backdrop of the Irish Sea.

These Swiss ambassadors of the skies left a huge and lasting impression on the spectators, and demonstrated Swiss precision par excellence!
