EFL International Freight Solutions Limited have joined SIBA and we welcome EFL at a time when freight logistics is changed due to Brexit on January 1st 2021.
In EFL, together with it’s partners in Switzerland – Trans Maritime, based in Basel, operate direct trucking services to and from Switzerland and Ireland on a weekly basis and our service covers all parts of Ireland and Switzerland for both imports and exports. EFL carry anything from parcels to full truck loads in both directions every week and many of our clients are propriety names in Swiss/Ireland trade in both importing and exporting. Together with Trans Maritime EFL have been operating these services for more than 25 years.
Brexit has brought its’ own challenges for Swiss/Ireland trade in each direction, in that, up to now we have used the U.K. landbridge entirely for our trucking arrangements and this has provided a seamless and cost effective way to manage import/export trade on behalf of our clients.
EFL and Transmaritime have fully trained and professional customs clearance colleagues, who have been handling customs clearance for imports and exports in Switzerland and Ireland for many, many years. The issue of customs is not a concern for EFL, other than what additional documentation/procedures, as yet unannounced, might be demanded of us, by U.K. Customs in a landbridge scenario. EFL/Transmaritime are fully aware of the challenges facing Swiss/Ireland trade in a post Brexit world.
